Is it safe to let AI handle your email?

The short answer: it depends on how it's built. We break down the security architecture that makes WiseSam different from the rest.

Is it safe to let AI handle your email?

It's a fair question. You've probably seen the headlines about AI models being trained on private conversations, about data breaches at tech companies, about the gap between a product's privacy policy and what actually happens to your data. So let's be direct about how WiseSam handles your information.

Sam doesn't read your personal inbox

This is the most important thing to understand. WiseSam doesn't ask for access to your personal Gmail account. Instead, Sam gets its own dedicated email address — something like sam@yourdomain.wisesam.ai. You forward things to it. Your clients, colleagues, or services email it directly. Sam never touches your personal inbox unless you explicitly set up a connection, and that connection is always limited in scope.

We built the privacy architecture first. The features came second.

End-to-end encryption

All communications between you and Sam are encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard encryption protocols. Your conversation history, the emails Sam drafts, the research it compiles — all encrypted, all private.

You control everything Sam can do

  • Decide exactly which contacts Sam can respond to autonomously
  • Set tone preferences — formal, casual, brief, detailed
  • Enable or disable specific capabilities at any time
  • Review an audit log of everything Sam has done on your behalf
  • Revoke access to any integration instantly

What we never do

We don't sell your data. We don't use your private communications to train AI models. We don't share anything with third parties beyond what's needed to operate the service (e.g., your chosen AI provider processes requests, but under a strict data processing agreement). Your data is yours.

Security is a practice, not a feature

We do regular security audits, maintain a responsible disclosure program, and follow a principle of minimum necessary access for every integration. If WiseSam doesn't need a permission to do its job, it doesn't ask for it.
